Hyponatremia - Differential Diagnosis Algorithm ADH Independent: • Tea and Toast Syndrome, Beer Potomania - Low solute diet. Responds briskly to IV fluids. Treat with a high solute/protein diet. • Psychogenic Polydipsia - Responds to fluid restriction. • Renal Failure - Restrict fluid and dialyze.
