Rectus Sheath Hematoma on POCUS
Older male on apixaban for treatment of DVT presents with abdominal pain and shock. Ultrasound of the periumbilical area is done (clips shown in orthogonal planes). What is the diagnosis?
Massive rectus sheath hematoma and hemorrhagic shock. Image shows the peritoneum highlighted in blue. Acute, hypoechoic blood in red surrounded by clotted blood.  Pt went IR for inf epigastric embolization and was discharged a few days later.
