Pelvic Hematoma on POCUS
Fall w pubic ramus fracture. Pelvis FAST. Not all free fluid is simple and anechoic!
Excellent example of a potential pitfall. Echogenic collection seen with some anechoic areas. Correlate with clinical history.
A clue to pelvic injury with FAST exam is if the bladder isn’t found, looks very small, or looks like it’s off to the side rather than midline, think pelvic bleeding.
