Reduced Lung Sliding in the setting of COPD Exacerbation and Hyperinflation 60 yo w SOB and hypoxia. Hx COPD. Lung ultrasound at multiple rib spaces looked like this. Lung sliding is difficult to appreciate, making pneumothorax a consideration. But there are vertical artifacts near the rib shadows. Considerations include tiny PTX w double lung point sign, hyperinflation in COPD exacerbation, bleb. With multiple rib spaces like this and hx of COPD, reduced lung sliding due to exacerbation rises.
