Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) - Basics Nomenclature: - Echogenicity = brightness - Hyperechoic = more echogenic (brighter) than surrounding tissue - Isoechoic = equal echo brightness to surrounding tissues - Hypoechoic = less echogenic (darker) than surrounding tissue - Anechoic = devoid of echoes (iet black) Knobology - DAG: - DEPTH- can increase or decrease viewing depth.
