Dilated Coronary Sinus on Echocardiogram (PSAX)

Dilated coronary sinus can mimic pericardial effusion in the  parasternal short-axis view
Great tip on a potential pitfall: Use color Doppler if in doubt. Pericardial effusion should not show color flow. Differentiate from color Doppler flash artifact using spectral Doppler if needed.
