Hepatorenal Syndrome Treatment
Volume expansion: 
 • Albumin (typical dose = 1g/kg on day 1 +/- day 2, followed by 20-40 g/day afterwards)
Vasoconstrictors, either:
 • Midodrine - An alpha- 1 agonist (an oral systemic vasoconstrictor) + Octreotide - Somatostatin analogue (a subcutaneous selective splanchnic vasoconstrictor)
            or
 • Norepinephrine, vasopressin, or terlipressin (intravenous vasoconstrictors; terlipressin is theoretically more specific for splanchnic vessels)
