Endoscopic Ultrasound Basics - Gl wall structure- how many layers?
1st layer - hyperechoic - corresponds to the superficial mucosa
2nd layer - hypoechoic - corresponds to the deep mucosa
3rd layer - hyperechoic - corresponds to the submucosa plus the acoustical interface between the submucosa and the muscularis propria
4th layer - hypoechoic - corresponds to the muscularis propria minus the acoustical interface between the submucosa and the musclaris propria
5th layer - hyperechoic - Serosa, subserosal fat
