Plasmodium falciparum trophozoites (and crenated red blood cells) - Blood Smear

A classic presentation of Plasmodium falciparum malaria trophozoites (young, ring-stage) in a thin blood smear. RBCs (but interestingly not infected RBCs) are "crenated" (shrunken w/ scalloped edge)
