Rhizopus spp. on microscopy
 - rhizoids ("roots") immediately below non-branched sporangiophores
 - most common cause of zyogmyæte infections (but also a common environmental contaminant!)
A truly classic-looking Rhizopus spp. from a clinical respiratory specimen: non-branching sporangiophores, (in my experience much shorter than Mucor spp) w/ rhizoids directly beneath them.
