VSD on Newborn POCUS Echocardiogram (A4C)
Term newborn presents with irritability and increased work of breathing. Bedside echo images shown. What do they show?
Case resolution: Patient had signs of fluid overload and copious B lines on lung US. Admitted for diuresis, cardiology echo showed 2 VSDs and a PFO resulting in significant shunt. Surgical intervention planned at 4-6 months of age.
