This allows you to keep the field blood free while you prepare/pass your hemostatic device. This is particularly useful with Hemospray catheter or when bleeding is arterial one nature. This seems like a simple technique but in a torrential focal bleed in a tight space like esophagus or duodenum it’s invaluable at controlling views.
