Paraesophageal Abscess on POCUS Pt with severe chest/abd pain. Ill/febrile. RUSH exam performed. Diagnosis? Patient states she has been having a lot of vomiting in recent weeks. Hx of severe GERD/esophagitis--out of PPI. IVC-Aorta Sag sweep with pathology seen. Paraesophageal abscess. Patient had been vomiting a lot--no recent procedures or toxic ingestions. She was treated with IV antibiotics and drainage. No evidence of diffuse mediastinitis and no evidence of empyema.
