IUD Fragment on Pelvic Ultrasound VB/OB. 6w5d by dates. TV shown. What is the echogenic line with shadowing in the endometrium? Patient has sac without definitive IUP findings of YS (or embryo). What is echogenic line with shadowing in endometrium? Patient relates having IUD removed 10 months ago at another hospital and told was broken when removed. Never followed up for fragment removal. Lost to follow up after repeat ultrasound 2 weeks later confirming developing IUP and identical position of IUD fragment. When pulling IUDs, always make sure they are intact.
