Fournier's Gangrene on Scrotal POCUS An unfortunate patient presented to the ED with a painful, red, swollen testicle. #POCUS shows thickened scrotal skin, and intra-scrotal air (hyperechoic with dirty shadowing). Diagnosis: Fournier's Gangrene Even if gas is clinically suspected, some imaging will be needed to get surgeons involved! In this case, ultrasound helps get Urology to see patient more quickly and potentially avoids a risky trip to CT scanner in a sick patient.
