Indications for ERCP
1. Biliary Tract Diseases:
 • Biliary obstruction: Choledocholithiasis, Malignant biliary strictures, Benign biliary strictures (PSC, postoperative, chronic pancreatitis), SOD, Sump syndrome, Choledochocele
 • Sphincter of Oddi manometry
 • Bile leak
2. Pancreatic Diseases:
 • Pancreatic cancer and other pancreatic malignancies with brushing and biopsy, Recurrent acute pancreatitis, Chronic pancreatitis (treatment of symptomatic stones, strictures, and pseudocysts), Pancreatic duct leaks, Pancreatic fluid collections (PFC), Pancreatic SOD
3. Ampullary Diseases:
 • Ampullary carcinoma in poor surgical candidate to relieve obstruction, Papillary stenosis
4. Therapeutic ERCP:
 • Tissue sampling, Balloon dilation of strictures, Stone extraction, Endoscopic sphincterotomy, Stent placement, Nasobiliary or nasopancreatic drain placement, Cholangioscopy and pancreatoscopy, Drainage of PFC, Ampullectomy of adenomatous neoplasms of the major papilla
