Alpha-gal Syndrome (AGS) - Diagnosis Algorithm
Does patient have recurrent episodes of urticaria, angioedema or isolated GI distress?
Pertinent History for AGS (If patient affirms ≥2 of these boxes, then consider testing for alpha-gal IgE):
 • Timing
    - Nighttime symptoms are most common
    - Itching - often an early symptom
 • Ticks
    - Known tick bites and/or a history of outdoor activities in areas with ticks
    - Persistent irritation at site of tick bite
 • Diet
    - Beef, pork, Iamb, venison in diet
    - High fat dairy in diet
