• Myeloid disorders: Myeloproliferative neoplasms (myelofibrosis, polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia), Myelodysplastic syndromes, Acute leukemias
• Thromboembolic events: Cardioembolic origin, Hypercoagulable states (Antiphospholipid syndrome, Malignant conditions)
• Lymphomas
• Hemoglobinopathy
• Conditions with marked splenomegaly
• Trauma
• Wandering spleen
• Infection: Infective endocarditis, Infectious mononucleosis, Cytomegalovirus, Malaria
