HINTS Exam - Distinguishing Central from Peripheral Vertigo
 • Head Impulse: Head thrust 10° with eyes fixed on examiners nose
 • Nystagmus: Have patient look left, right, up and down to provoke. Want to avoid fixation on an object (like following a finger)
 • Test of Skew: Have patient look straight ahead, cover and uncover each eye
