Spinal Cord Anatomy - Arterial Blood Supply

Arteries of the spinal cord arise from the vertebral and segmental arteries. There are three main longitudinal arteries. The anterior and two posterior spinal arteries are direct branches of the two vertebral arteries which merge to form a single artery - the basilar artery of the Circle of Willis.
