Massive Hemoptysis - Differential Diagnosis Framework and Management
Definition: 150-600 mL over 24 hours
Differential Diagnosis:
 • Tracheobronchial: Neoplasm, Bronchitis, Bronchiectasis, Trauma, Foreign Body
 • Parenchymal: PNA, Abscess, TB, Mycetoma, Alveolar Hemorrhage, Lung Contusion, Pneumonitis
 • Primary Vascular: Pulmonary Embolism, Vasculitis, Mitral Stenosis, AVM, Coagulopathy
Initial Management:
1) Indications for Intubation
2) Bad Lung Down
3) Correct Coagulopathy
4) Reverse Anticoagulation
5) Nebulized Tranexamic Acid
Interventions:
1) Bronchoscopy
2) IR Embolization
3) Surgical Management
