Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) - Differential Diagnosis Framework and Management

Regular SVT: Sinus Tachycardia, AVNRT, AVRT, Atrial Flutter, Ectopic Atrial Tachycardia, Ectopic Junctional
Irregular SVT: Atrial Fibrillation, MAT, Sinus Tachycardia w/ PACs, AFIb w/ variable block
MANAGEMENT:
Modified Valsalva Maneuver:
1) Obtain 10cc saline flush and empty
2) Place patient in semi-recumbent position
3) Ask patient to blow into plunger for 15s
4) Lie patient flat and raise legs to 45° for 15s
Borderline BP: Amiodarone, Digoxin
Normotensive: Beta-Blocker (Metoprolol), CCB (Diltiazem, Verapamil)
