Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) - Diagnosis and Management Summary

Symptoms:
• Abdominal pain
• Nausea
• Polyuria
• Polydipsia
• Vomiting
• Weight loss
• Shortness of breath
• May progress to lethargy, obtundation, and death

DKA Resolution - 2 of 4 following criteria:
1) HCO3 > 18 mEq/L
2) pH > 7.3
3) AG < 12
4) Glucose < 200 mg/dL
