PAD affects >230 million adults worldwide & is associated with increased risk of various adverse clinical outcomes (CAD, CVA & leg outcomes → amputation).
 • ABI first-line test in the diagnosis (sensitivity 68-84% & specificity 84-99%).
 • ABI ≤ 0.90 is considered PAD
 • Toe-brachial index (TBI) measured when ABI is > 1.40
 • TBI ≤ 0.70 is diagnostic of PAD.
