Ulnar collateral ligament stability can be tested at zero and thirty degrees of flexion by applying a valgus force to the finger.
Radial collateral ligament stability can be tested at zero and thirty degrees of flexion by applying a varus force to the finger.
Laxity indicates a partial or complete ligament tear.
