Slocum's Test for Anteromedial Rotary Instability (AMRI) and Anterolateral Rotary Instability (ALRI) of the Knee

Slocum’s test is a modified version of the Anterior Drawer Test of the knee, testing anteromedial rotary instability (AMRI) and anterolateral rotary instability (ALRI).

Anteromedial Rotatory Instability (AMRI): Rotate the the tibia laterally (external rotation) 15 degrees and pull forward.
Anterolateral Rotatory Instability (ALRI): Rotate the tibal medially (internal rotation) 30 degrees and pull forward.

Tests are positive if there is increased forward displacement of the tibia.
