Froment’s Test for Ulnar Nerve Palsy This tests for pinch grip weakness caused by ulnar nerve palsy, testing the strength of the adductor pollicus. The patient is asked to grip a flat object such as a piece of paper, which the examiner pulls. There is neuropathy if the patient is unable to hold onto the paper.
