Maudsley's Test for Lateral Epicondylitis ("Tennis Elbow")

With the wrist prone, the patient attempts extension of the 3rd digit, while the examiner palpates the lateral epicondyle.  This movement stresses the extensor digitorum muscle and tendon. The test is positive with pain over the lateral epicondyle.
