Jaccoud's Arthropathy on Physical Examination

Deforming non-erosive arthropathy characterized by ulnar deviation of the second to fifth fingers with metacarpophalangeal joint subluxation. It is named after François-Sigismond Jaccoud, a French physician, who described the entity in 1869

Jaccoud's arthropathy is frequently confused with Rheumatoid Arthropathy. RA is a fixed deformity with ulnar deviation. In Jaccoud's Arthropathy, the deformity is dependent on resting hand position and changes as in the video.
