Fibrinous septations in Malignant Pleural Effusion (MPE) - Lung POCUS
 • can be triggered by thoracenteses
 • by triggering coag cascade; ↑ levels of PAI1
 • usually flimsy and can be broken during pleuroscopy
 • must be distinguished from thicker adhesions
 • can be lysed with tPA, but there’s no prospective e/o dyspnea ↓
