Gonococcal conjunctivitis: ocular emergency; risk perforation of cornea 
Clinical features: purulent discharge +++, chemosis (conjunctival oedema), periorbital oedema, rapid progression
Topical Chlorsig (chloramphenicol) is only bacteriostatic & not appropriate treatment. Gram stain - expect Gram negative diplococci.
