Pharmaceutical agents other than olmesartan have been reported to cause villous atrophy on occasion and are listed in Table 3. Olmesartan appears to be the most frequent cause of drug-induced enteropathy, but several other agents, including other angiotensin receptor-blocking agents, have been incriminated.
