Jugular Venous Pressure Measurement
Examiner places the patient in a reclined position and puts the base of the ruler at the sternal angle.
Positive: JVP > 3cm above the sternal notch, or sustained JVP > 4cm with abdominal compression, suggests 3-4x increase in the likelihood of CVP being elevated.
