Indications: "AEIOU" 
 A - Acidosis ( pH < 7.1 ) 
 E - Electrolytes - refractory 
hyperkalemia ( K > 6.5 mEq/L ) 
 I - Intoxications 
 O - Overload with fluid refractory 
to diuresis 
 U - Uremic pericarditis, uremic encephalopathy 

Dialyzable Drugs/Toxins
I - INH, isopropyl alcohol 
S - Salicyclates 
T - Theophylline 
U - Uremia 
M - Methanol 
B - Barbiturates 
L - Lithium 
E - Ethylene glycol 
D - Dabigatran (Pradaxa), Divalproex (Depakote)
