Primary Care Guide to Pupil Dilatation

 - Start with the sympathomimetic 
(2.5% phenylephrine), but don't 
call it that to the patient, they 
don't tare. Just say, "eye drop" 

 - Then use the 
anticholinergic (l % 
tropicamide). It burns, 
but it's a good burn. 

 - Wait 15 minutes. 
Do some charting or 
research how to do 
a fundus exam
