EKG with Cerebral T Waves in Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
ECG of a 45-year-old man who suddenly collapsed to the ground in cardiac arrest. 911 was called and Paramedics got ROSC after 2 rounds of CPR.
These ECG changes are the result of ↑ICP. These bizarre, inverted T’s are known as “cerebral T waves”. There is a long QT. There are ST deviations which often mimic coronary occlusion!
CT scan confirmed SAH and Cath Lab was averted.
