Torsades de Pointes
• "Twisting of the pointes" 
• QRS axis swings from positive to negative direction single lead
• Originates from single focus 
• Usually precipitated by drugs that prolong the QT interval 
    Class IA antidysrhythmics (procainamide, quridine) 
    Class IC antidysrhythmics (propafenone, necanide) 
    Cyclc antidepressants 
    Droperidol 
    Phenothiazines 
    Azithromycin 
    Methadone 
• Also precipitated by electrolyte abnormaüties 
    Hypomagnesemia 
    Hypokalemia
