Aimovig (Erenumab)
Mechanism: Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide Receptor Antagonist 
Indication: Preventive Treatment of Migraines:
Dosing: 70 mg SQ monthly, may increase to 140 mg monthly 

Aimovig is a biologic that is injected once monthly to prevent migraines in adults! Patients can easily self-administer this subcutaneous injection with the auto-injector device at the abdomen, thigh, or back of arm. Studies reported this drug is fairly tolerable, with primary side effects being injection site reaction (expected) and constipation.
