Mild acne is one of the most common conditions affecting teens and younger adults. This is defined as comedones (commonly referred to as whiteheads or blackheads), with the possibility of some larger lesions called papules/pustules. First line pharmacologic options are from 3 different topical categories: benzoyl peroxide, retinoid, or antibiotic.
