Distributive (Vasodilation)
 - Septic
 - Anaphylaxis
 - Spinal cord trauma (a.k.a. neurogenic shock)
Cardiogenic (Decreased contractility)
 - Acute MI
 - Severe heart failure exacerbation (any cause)
 - Myocarditis
Obstructive (Mechanical obstruction to blood flow)
 - Massive pulmonary embolism
 - Pericardial tamponade
 - Tension pneumothorax
