Splenic Abscess on POCUS

Older male with IVDU presents with fever, abdominal pain and hypotension.  During RUSH exam you notice this on your perisplenic window.
Answer: Splenic Abscess.  Staph was culprit.  Had Aortic valve endocarditis.  Look for air in the wrong places.  Note air signatures in spleen. 
Note some air between spleen and the lesion

Traumatic Perisplenic Retroperitoneal Hematoma on POCUS Young male with fall from 20 feet. Soft vitals, LUQ/flank pain. No free fluid seen in Morison's pouch or pelvis. Perisplenic diagnosis? Answer: patient has large retroperitoneal hematoma seen. On CT scan had extensive hematoma/hemorrhage with active blush and underwent embolization. Note the distortion of the position of the left kidney on the perisplenic window. Hepatic Abscess on POCUS Had recent colonoscopy with biopsies. Answer: Had perforation of colon at hepatic flexure with subsequent abscess formation. Note the presence of the abscess adjacent to the GB. Not the anticipated POCUS GB finding but good fellow pick up (pre-CT). Abscess is relatively isoechoic to liver so easy to miss.
