Digoxin effect on Electrocardiogram (EKG)
Digoxin is a cardiac glycoside from the foxglove leaf
Mechanism
 - Inhibits Na-K ATPase -> increase intracellular Na / extracellular K -> increase intracellular Ca -> increase contractility
 - Decreases AV nodal conduction
Uses:
 - Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter (rate control)
 - Heart failure (syrnptom reduction) - not first Iine
Digoxin effect on ECG (at therapeutic level):
 - Scooping ST depression (Salvador Dali mustache)
 - Flag inverted or biphasic T waves
 - Short QT interval
