Idiopathic CD4 Lymphopenia (ICL) / Lymphocytopenia 

DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA FOR ICL
 • Persistent CD4 T-cell lymphopenia
 • NO underlying primary or secondary immune deficiencies
 • CD4 T-cell count of 300 cells/mL or 20% total lymphocyte on multiple occasions
COMMON ASSOCIATIONS W/ LOW CD4
 • Autoimmune (Sjogren, SLE, Kikuchi dz.)
 • Drugs (corticosteroids. chemotherapy)
 • Genetic syndromes (XMEN. WHIM. Unc119)
 • Heme (lymphoma. aplasia/myelodysplasia)
 • Infections - HIV. HTLV. EBV. CMV. MTB/MAC
 • Common variable immune deficiency
 • Sarcoidosis
 • Radiation therapy
