Bell's Sign on Physical Exam

The clinical sign resulting from functional insufficiency of the eyelid orbicularis was described by Charles Bell, who bears his name known as Bell's sign. It is represented by the upward deviation of the eyeball, when the patient is instructed to close his eyes.
This semiological sign can be found in Peripheral Facial Paralysis.
