Rheumatoid arthritis (RA): X-ray features
 • Soft tissue swelling (best seen by comparing left & right sides together)
 • Joint Space Narrowing
 • Bony Erosions (occurs at the exposed corners of the articular bone)
 • Peri-articular osteopenia (bones look more lucent closer to the joints)
 • Joint Subluxations (Joint deformities that can still be reduced. Best visualized with multiple x-rays taken at different planes)
