     - Histoplasma has a world-wide distribution, but is mostly endemic in the Americas (Central/Eastern United States & Central and South America)
     - Reservoir includes: soil, areas of construction, animal droppings (i.e. bats – a board favorite!), and caves (another board favorite)
     - Mode of transmission: aerogenic
