Pulmonary Vasculograms on POCUS
With complete de-aeration and lung parenchymal collapse, blood vessels can readily seen with ultrasound (uncommon finding). With no air to scatter/reflect sound wave transmission, vessels can be seen as anechoic tubular structures. In this case, a bronchoscopy revealed ++ purulence beginning in the left main-stem bronchus.
