Apical 2-Chamber (A2C) Window on POCUS Echocardiogram

Helpful to distinguish anterior and inferior regional wall motion abnormalities. In presence Of significant apical (including anterior +/- inferior) akinesis, maintain vigilance for associated LV thrombus. This is secondary to stasis and pooling of blood in the apex. In this case, severely reduced EF -> visible mural thrombus (star).
