TRALI Diagnostic Criteria TRALI type 1 - Patients who have no risk factors for ARDS and meet the following criteria: a. i. Acute onset, Hypoxemia (PaO2/FiO2 ≤ 300 or SpO2 < 90% on room air) ii. Clear evidence of bilateral pulmonary edema on imaging (eg. chest chest CT, or ultrasound) iii. No evidence of left atrial (LAH) or, if LAH is present, it is judged not to be the main contributor to the hypoxemia b. Onset during or within 6 h of transfusion c. No relationship to an alternative risk for ARDS TRALI type II-Patients who have risk factors for ARDS (but who have not been diagnosed with ARDS) or who have pre-existing mild ARDS (PaO2/FiO2 of 200-300), but whose respiratory status deteriorates and is judged to be due to transfusion based on: a.
