Polychromatophilia - Note 2 large blue-gray erythrocytes as seen on H&E stain. On a stain for reticulocytes these cells would show retained RNA and be counted. The left photo also shows a schistocyte and the right photo an acanthocyte. When the bone marrow is stimulated to release red cells rapidly and in great numbers cells which are less than mature are included.
